As per breaking inputs coming in on Mirror Now, a recent surge in the number of AC commuters in local trains has been witnessed in Mumbai city. Ahead of a slash in AC Local fares, this spike in AC commuters has been noticed by a 116 per cent growth. Additionally, an exponential rise has been witnessed in railway commuters has been seen as well. Sources suggest that more rakes in the railway sector are likely to be commissioned soon. The administration slashed AC fares by 50 per cent which has eased travel in local trains. However, one of the Mumbai commuters complains about the timing of the trains and highlights a delay in trains. Overall the commuters seem to be quite satisfied and relieved by this new development. Moreover, seeing a positive response from the daily commuters the administration has decided on running 56 instead of 44 trains on the mainland from May 14th, and running additional 14 AC trains on Sundays and holidays.
