as posted by the channelA few days ago, Bangalore Police Commissioner Kamal Pant made statements in contradiction to the Karnataka Home Minister. The top cop has now been shunted out. It is said that he did not make comments against the Minister but about a fight that had broken out. In this case, the police's statement did not go in line with the Minister's. CH Pratap Reddy has been offered to fill the position. Pant will now be the DGP, essentially the head of recruitment.
This comes after a similar transfer happened in Uttar Pradesh, with Director General of Police Mukund Goyal for allegedly disobeying orders.
