Amid this trend, even private hospitals in Mumbai have started to reserve beds for COVID-19 patients. Officials, however have pointed out that hospitalisations due to COVID-19 have been seen in patients above 60 years of age or those with comorbidities, whereas there have been very few hospital admissions among people from other age groups.
