Maharashtra nurses have put their strike on hold. The move came after assurance from the state government. They will now resume duty. The state govt has assured them of action by July 15. Nurses of Maharashtra state-run hospitals were agitating to fulfill their demands and were on indefinite strike since May 28. They were protesting against the government's decision to hire nurses via a private contractor. MSNA, Maharashtra State Nursing Association, had raised the issue that such a move will make nurses vulnerable to exploitation with regard to their working hours and wages. Watch here!
