"The railway is funded by the central government. We must be aware of everything." The railway bridge was launched by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. According to a railway official, the Eastern Railway (ER) has written to the West Bengal government about not being told of the intended inauguration of a rail over bridge at Kamarkundu in Hooghly district on Friday by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, for the construction. "Our share of the rail over bridge at Kamarkundu is 60%, while the state government's share is 40%," he added.
