as posted by the channelTamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin on Monday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to instruct the Union Jal Shakti ministry to advise the chairman of the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) to desist from taking up any discussion on the Mekedatu project till the issues were heard and decided by the Supreme Court.
The chief minister said the scope of the functioning of the CWMA was strictly limited to the implementation of the verdict and it should not exceed beyond it's jurisdiction. The chief minister also added that any disruption in the allocated share would affect the state very adversely, making it a highly sensitive issue.
