Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced that 10 lakh personnel would be recruited within the next 18 months, ‘on a mission mode’, It’s said to be a major drive after recruitments in government jobs were adversely affected after the COVID-19 pandemic.
@PMOIndia tweeted early on Tuesday morning, "PM @narendramodi reviewed the status of Human Resources in all departments and ministries and instructed that recruitment of 10 lakh people be done by the government in mission mode in the next 1.5 years."
"Jobs are needed. But creating 1 million jobs in several ministries will not solve India's #unemployment problem. Govt's job is to enable an atmosphere where jobs can be created," says Tushar Gupta, Senior Editor Swarajya Mag.
