as posted by the channelOn Friday, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw urged youth not to engage in violent protests or cause damage to railway property. His request comes in the wake of widespread rail damage in various states as a result of demonstrations over the Centre's newly implemented army recruitment scheme, Agnipath. Protesters in Bihar and Telangana today set fire to trains in protest of the national government's new recruitment policy. Railway stations in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Telangana were also vandalised. Protesters set fire to train cars at Islampur railway station in Nalanda and Danapur rail station in Patna in Bihar. According to Patna DM Dr. Chandrashekhar Singh, over 1500 protesters gathered at the Danapur station and destroyed property.
