The conference will be chaired by BJP chief JP Nadda, and will focus on preparations for the next presidential election. Nadda and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh have been tasked by the BJP to hold talks with all political parties in order to get a consensus on a presidential candidate. The BJP has constituted a 14-member coordination committee to coordinate with its state units and partners. Meanwhile, on the 21st of June, the opposition will hold its second gathering. Mamata Banerjee, the Bengal chief minister, is expected to be missing.
