3:58Now PlayingSignificant traffic jams were observed on the Delhi-Gurugram Expressway on Wednesday as a result of calls for a Bharat Bandh against the military recruitment plan Agnipath by some organisations. A significant pile-up was visible as Delhi Police checked vehicles on the highway close to the Sarhaul border. The groups have pushed for the program's cancellation. Today, protests against the Agnipath scheme will be held in Delhi's Jantar Mantar by opposition parties like the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party. Orders prohibiting gatherings of four or more people have been issued in Noida and Faridabad. In the past four days, protests against the Agnipath soldier recruitment programme of the Centre have broken out in a number of states, including Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, and Telangana.
