It also states that each time states have to request the central government to clear the dues of GST. Some states are paying very high tax but they do not get enough shares in GST by the central government. Chief Minister of Tamilnadu M K Stalin also pointed out that their states are paying more GST but getting less tax. They supported the CM over his demand to the GST council. They slammed BJP and said when it was introduced they called it a milestone but in reality its snatching out states financial rights. Many other states are struggling financially due to delays and less share in GST. In events, in front of PM Modi CM had asked to clear state's pending GST dues.
