2:28Now PlayingIn the Noney area of Manipur, where numerous persons, including Territorial Army personnel, are suspected to have been buried by landslides, excavators are being used to remove bodies from a river. 18 people have already died as a result of massive landslides that occurred at the 107 TA camp nearby the Tupul yard railway construction site on Wednesday night. Among the deceased are 15 jawans. At least 45 more people, including several jawans, remain unaccounted for and are reportedly buried close to the Ijai river. To remove the bodies from the river's challenging downstream terrain, authorities have used excavators. At the scene, search activities are being carried out by central and state disaster forces as well as the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and Territorial Army. Security for a railway line being built from Jiribam is provided by the Territorial Army.
