The Kerala Gold Scam case first came out in July 2020. The UDF had been demanding a probe to be conducted by the Central Agencies. In 2020, The Officials recovered 30 kgs of gold from the baggage that was meant for UAE Consulate. The Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has also been accused to have full knowledge of the scam. Hence, UDF demands an Inquiry to be conducted under the direction of the Supreme Court. The Congress party also said that they were not happy with the way Investigation was being held.
