After Maharashtra, it seems like the BJP is now eyeing Goa. This was like a repeat of the 2017 election when all the Congress MLAs except for Digambar Kamat had switched to the BJP alliance in Goa. Many of the MLAs are willing and inclined to join the BJPs. To avoid the anti-defection law, if 8 congress leaders in MLA join the BJP, they can avoid the law. After losing the Maha Vikas Aghadi government, of which Congress was also a part, there seems to be trouble for the Congress party in Goa as well.
