The Trinamool Congress (TMC) criticised the BJP and questioned how they invited the state's chief executive. "The invitation was left at the CM's house late last night. Does this entail inviting a CM? Mamata Banerjee cleared Rs 2 lakh crore for these metro projects while serving as the minister of railways. And they didn't invite them to the inauguration?" Kunal Ghosh, a TMC spokesperson, enquired. This comes two days after the chief minister apparently wasn't invited to the metro station's opening, causing uproar for Kolkata Municipal Rail Corporation.
