The pressure keeps on continuing in June as well. The retail inflation has sightly eased a marginally from 7.04% from the previous month. There were also fuel tax cuts and restrictions on food import and export as well. Some of them have controlled the rising inflation to a great extent. The heatwave, meanwhile, in June also pushed up the prices, which is an added factor and under-pressure as well. The situation globally, commodity prices have been spiking, which has also been a factor that is pushing pressure.
