A 67-year-old Bengaluru woman with a critical cardiac condition was flown in from the US to Chennai. The mission was accomplished via a 26-hour air ambulance flight through Iceland and Turkey. Around 2 mid-sized private jets were involved in the airlift that cost around Rs.1 crore. The patient is a resident of Indira Nagar. Chennai is now being prepared to undergo heart surgery. The woman suffered from a heart problem for a long time. The private jet had an ICU set up in it and took her from Portland to Istanbul, Turkey, and later to Chennai.
