The convener of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) declared he would still make the visit despite not agreeing with the former's recommendation. The LG has also stated that it would be unwise for a chief minister to attend such a convention. The LG added that a chief minister attending would be "inappropriate" because the Delhi government does not have sole authority over the issues. Manish Sisodia, the deputy chief minister, claimed that "mean politics" was to blame for the Delhi LG's advice to Kejriwal not to travel to Singapore, and he added that they will file to MEA for political clearance.
