In the big relief to flyers, the Aviation ministry has ordered the airlines not to charge any additional fee while issuing boarding passes at checking counters at the airports. The ministry in its notification said that such charges are not justifiable under the aviation rules. Earlier, a few airlines charged a fee of about Rs.200 if the passenger wanted the boarding pass to be issued at the checking counters. This additional amount, however, was not in accordance with the instructions according to the provisions of the aircraft rules. Indigo has issued a statement saying that it will comply with rules and regulations.
