She hit back at Congress and Sonia Gandhi and said that the character of he 18 year old daughter was assassinated for no reason. Smriti Irani also claimed that she was targeted because she spoke against Gandhis and questioned them. She further dared Congress to show proof against her daughter as the papers shown by the Congress leader alleging that Irani's daughter runs a bar in Goa did not have her name. Amethi's MP also targeted Rahul Gandhi and challenged him to face Smriti Irani again in 2024 election on the Amethi seat of Uttar Pradesh.
