In a letter, Tamil Nadu Congress Legislative Party leader Selvaperunthagai K said that his party's MLAs will not attend the opening ceremony of the 44th Chess Olympiad, which is set to take place in Chennai on Thursday, July 28. Selvaperunthagai praised the MK Stalin administration in Tamil Nadu, saying that the state government has allotted a sum of Rs.100 crores for the Chess Olympiad and is completing the job quickly.
