as posted by the channelIn light of the declining number of COVID19 cases, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has decided to shut all of its COVID19 Jumbo Centers.
Three large care facilities had been shut down during the pandemic's initial phase, while the remaining ones had remained open.
According to a BMC press statement, the Somaiya jumbo centre in the Sion area would be maintained available in case a new need arises. In addition to the Kasturba hospital in Chinchpokli, patients of COVID-19 will get care in 16 suburban hospitals, four major civic-run hospitals, and four other hospitals.
According to the BMC, there will still be 11,165 beds available in the city's hospitals for COVID-19 patients even after eight giant covid-19 centres close, and additional beds may be added as needed.
