9:03Now PlayingThe Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut in the Rs 1,034 crore Patra Chawl redevelopment scam and brought him into prison until August 4 after searching his Mumbai residence for many hours on Sunday. The ED claims Raut assisted the accused in perpetrating the scam in consideration for Rs 1.06 crore.
According to records obtained by India Today, Raut's buddy and key accused Pravin Raut made Rs 112 crore in the overall fraud, of which Rs 1.06 crore was routed to the Sena politician and his wife Varsha Raut via various means.
