Previously, a few companies slashed the oil prices but now the Centre’s has asked the oil companies to further reduce the rates at least by Rs. 10-12 in the next 2 weeks. The government might cut the prices again in the future. If it is implemented, it will be an enormous relief for the common man that is already reeling under the price rise. The meeting was between the stakeholders, which comprised edible oil manufacturers and marketing companies. The simple message sent by the food ministry was that the prices might reduce later.
