1:22Now PlayingIn response to the ED summons of Mallikarjun Kharge during the Parliamentary session, Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh wrote a letter stating that while the leader of the opposition is not an accused in the National Herald case, the ED is harassing both the leader of the opposition and the Congress party.
The ED requested that Mallikarjun Kharge appears at the Young Indian Pvt. Limited office at the Herald House at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday, August 4. The summons came after the ED sealed the Young Indian office in New Delhi, ordering that the premises not be entered without the agency's consent. According to sources, the ED acquired 'incriminating papers' during recent raids related to the National Herald investigation.
