4:14Now PlayingAs per the latest news on Mirror Now, Most global cities far exceed World Health Organisation's (WHO) air pollution guidelines, posing serious health risks, with Delhi and Kolkata being the top two most polluted cities in terms of being exposed to hazardous fine particulate matter (PM2.5), said a new report released by the US-based Health Effects Institute (HEI) on Wednesday. Mumbai is 14th on the list in terms of being exposed to PM2.5 in 2019.
These are very minute air pollutants that once penetrated into the body can cause major Respiratory problems and ultimately result in a weaker immune system. The experts are saying that the young and the elderly are at a higher risk because of this pollution. The experts advised that masks should be mandatory for people to follow.
