A group of protesting Hindu activists heckled and attempted to gherao the Congress leader's car in Kodagu district on Thursday.
The protestors also chanted, "Go Back, Siddaramaiah!" While the police attempted to maintain order, one of the protestors threw a photo of freedom fighter Veer Savarkar into Siddaramaiah's car.
