Armed forces will be able to purchase any system or equipment via the fast-track route. The matter will be discussed at a high-level meeting presided over by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
A major Defense Acquisition Council (DAC) meeting, chaired by Rajnath Singh, is scheduled for after lunch tomorrow and will include some much-needed basics for the Army, such as artillery and bulletproof jackets, as well as cutting-edge weapons such as swarm drones.
A pre-DAC meeting is also on the agenda. The three chiefs are also expected to attend that meeting.
