2:37Now PlayingBreaking News: India has hit out at China over its reservations to the docking of a spy ship at Sri Lanka's Hambantota port. Noting the comments by the Chinese ambassador, The High Commission of India in Sri Lanka said that it is a violation of diplomatic etiquette. The Indian High Commission responded sharply to Qi's remarks on Saturday, claiming that they "violated basic diplomatic decorum may be an individual feature" or "reflect[ed] a bigger national mindset." The Chinese diplomat's perception of Sri Lanka's "northern neighbor" "may be shaped by how his own country behaves," the Indian embassy noted in a series of tweets. China had previously stated that it was "absolutely wrong" for other nations to put pressure on Sri Lanka and "grossly intervene" in its domestic affairs on August 8 as well, though without specifically mentioning India. Tune in for more.
