This comes as the municipal corporation usually gave oral orders for the meat ban to be imposed and does not usually give it in writing. This has put the spotlight back on individuals' right to eat vs food policing by states. the Karnataka WAQF board has moved to the Supreme Court against the decision of the Karnataka High Court which had allowed Ganpati celebrations on the Eidgah ground.
