9:01Now PlayingBreaking news coming in from the state of Karnataka where Union Minister Pralhad Joshi has backed lingayat Seer of Murugha Mutt. The seer has been accused of sexual abuse of a minor at his Mutt in Murugha. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said that "the Lingayat Seer is very much cooperative." An FIR has been registered by Karnataka police under POCSO Act but he is still roaming free. It's the fifth day after the fir has been registered and the seer has not even called for questioning. Two girls attending a Lingayat mutt school contacted 'Odanadi Seva Samsthe,' a Mysuru-based NGO dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, reintegration, and empowerment of trafficked and sexually abused women and children. After they described their ordeal, it came to the notice of the district children's welfare council, and a police report was filed.
