Ranchi police on Wednesday arrested Seema Patra, suspended BJP leader and wife of ex-IAS officer Maheshwar Patra for torturing her maid. Sunita informed that she was beaten with a hot pan, and metal rod and forced to drink urine by the suspended BJP leader for more than eight years.
We are joined by Shiv Sena MP, Priyanka Chaturvedi who shares her view on this.
"It's extremely shameful, it speaks of the double stands of BJP. What they do inside their homes is a reflection of what they do in society. It raises a lot of questions on the kind of office bearers the BJP has managed to gather. I think we are becoming a society that is extremely insensitive and also a reflection of what we have become. This particular horrendous case has crossed all boundaries.", says Priyanka Chaturvedi, Shiv Sena MP.
