3:51Now PlayingData presented to the Supreme Court by National Legal Services Authority made a huge revelation. Currently, there are more than 4 lakh cases pending under India's Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act. A plea was filled by an NGO ‘We the Women’ for seeking adequate infrastructure for victims of domestic abuse, under the PWDV act. But due to inadequate information regarding the same, the top court have to ceased this plea. According to National Family Health Survey, 86% of women who are victims of domestic violence never seek help, as most of them do not have a clear idea of who to reach out to.
