This comes after the mega political heat-up in the state over the letter that was written by the Indian army to the Punjab Government. The army had stated that it is not receiving adequate support from the local bodies in Punjab which is turning into an obstacle in the recruitment of youngsters in the Agneepath scheme. Meanwhile, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann too has promised to extend all possible support to the army in the recruitment process and has asked all concerned officials to comply with the orders.
