In this episode of Beyond The Headlines, the anchor Tamanna Inamdar will be discussing the CMIE-released data on unemployment, which showed India's jobless rate at 8.3%, the highest in the previous 12 months. The jobless rate is increasing once more. According to Mahesh Vyas, the unemployment rate improved in the month of July while rising in the month of August. This figure appears to be fluctuating between the numbers of 7% and 8%. "A farmer doesn't have an EPFO account," says Mahesh Vyas, CEO, CMIE. "Salaried jobs did fall in the month of August. CMIE just puts data; doesn't indulge in politics," he added. Watch the video to know more in detail!
