as posted by the channelIn a significant development, eight cheetahs will be reintroduced in Madhya Pradesh's Kuno national park. The decision was taken by the Central government 70 years after Cheetahs went extinct in the country. The Cheetahs will be released in the national park by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the occasion of his birth anniversary on September 17. Chartered cargo plane Boeing 747 has been appointed for bringing these Cheetahs from Namibia to India. Explaining this, SP Yadav, Chief of Project Cheetah said that the special planes are being used to avoid any sort of refilling issues and to ensure that all cheetahs directly land at the designated spot.
