As per the latest news, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Amanatullah Khan has been arrested om Delhi after the Anti-Corruption bureau raids. The AAP leader has been arrested for his alleged involvement in a case of illegal appointments and financial irregularities in the Delhi Waqf Board. Amanatullah Khan will be produced before the Delhi Court. The ACP claims they have recovered 24 lakh rupees cash and 2 illegal weapons during the raid. Meanwhile, the AAP party had hit out at the ACP action calling charges against the MLA 'fake and baseless' case.
"Amanatullah Khan has two residential addresses in Joga Bai extension and Zakir Nagar where nothing has been recovered by the anti-corruption branch yet a perception is being created to malign his image. “No money, no guns, no bullets, nothing illegal has been found at both these addresses but the central government is creating this propaganda about our MLA.", says Saurabh Bharadwaj, AAP MLA.
