On Monday, a three-member, all-women special investigation team (SIT) was formed by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav to investigate claims made by Chandigarh University students that a hosteller had made recorded offensive videos of female students in the communal bathroom.
Saturday, there were large-scale protests on campus in response to claims that 'objectionable' videos of a number of female hostel residents had been posted online. The students said there were leaked videos of approximately 60 girls taking baths in the dorm. However, the accused girl claimed in a statement that only one video had been recorded and shared.
