The helicopter went down near Garud Chatti, about two kilometers from the Kedarnath Dham shrine. Pushkar Dhami, the Chief Minister, has ordered an investigation. Uttarakhand SDRF Commandant Manikant Mishra confirmed the deaths in the helicopter crash, which happened minutes after takeoff. The disaster is thought to have been caused by bad weather.
