YouTube Description
as posted by the channelIn this episode of The Urban Debate, Shreya Dhoundiyal will be discussing the outrage over AIIMS VIP treatment sop. AIIMS Delhi has developed a set of standard operating procedures (SOPs) relating to special "medical care arrangements" for the sitting members of the Parliament to streamline treatment facilities for MPs. However, a group of doctors who have criticized the "VIP culture" at the top medical institute has sharply criticized the action. "Equality for all sounds good. But, if an MP has to wait 4 months for surgery what will happen to the 20 lakh people he is representing," says Prof Govardhan Das, Leader BJP & Molecular Medicine Expert JNU. "If a person is not critical, people should wait in line. Healthcare is for all, we shouldn't be elitist," says Dr. Sanjeev Bagai, Chairperson, Nephron. Tune in for a full discussion.
