This comes after the coastal community members opposed the project and alleged a threat to their lives and livelihood by the project. The district politicians from both parties participated in the 'long march' that has been organized by the Save Vizhinjam Port action council to the government's secretariat building. Speaking on this, AJ Vijayan, Spokesperson for ‘Coastal Watch' said, “Trivandrum is an erosion-prone district.
