4:29Now PlayingHemant Soren, the chief minister of Jharkhand, has been called in by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for questioning on Thursday in connection with a money laundering investigation into alleged illegal mining in the state, according to persons acquainted with the situation on Wednesday. Officials who requested anonymity said that Soren has been invited to appear at ED's Ranchi office. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) leader will be questioned over large-scale illicit mining and transportation activities that were allegedly carried out in conjunction with his political ally Pankaj Mishra, who was detained in connection with the case in July. In the same case, the federal government also detained Bachhu Yadav and Prem Prakash, two of Mishra's assistants.
