5:39Now PlayingToday, the Bharatiya Janata Party slammed the Delhi government over the national capital's air pollution. Speaking to the media, Party Spokesman Sambit Patra stated that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has attributed the city's pollution to the farmers in Punjab and Haryana. He questioned why Punjab and Haryana, which burn their stubble, would have the highest levels of air pollution if Delhi's pollution was a result of those two states. The amount of revenue the municipal government generated and how much it spent on pollution and advertising control must be discussed, he insisted. The national capital's hazardous air is a point of contention between the BJP and AAP. Despite Mr. Patra's assertion that politics shouldn't be brought up while talking about air pollution, the press conference was a dig at the government in the nation's capital. He also spoke about the hearing the Supreme Court had on air pollution.
