In his statement to the media, he claimed, "I already knew a day before there would be an attack on me." He continued by saying, "The specifics of the attack will be covered later. I learned the day before the attack that they had intended to assassinate me in either Wazirabad or Gujrat." During his speech, Khan took aim at the PML-N and the PPP, claiming that they had both engaged in egregious corruption and increased the country's debt.
