1:22Now PlayingAt least six people were reportedly killed and 80 others were injured in an explosion in Turkey's Istanbul on Sunday. The blast occurred on Istanbul’s popular pedestrian Istiklal Avenue in the Taksim Square area. Turkish Recep Tayyip Erdogan condemned the blast. Erdogan said that initial signs pointed to a "terror" attack in the explosion. In the videos that are going viral on social media, a loud band was heard and people were seen running away from the spot. However, the exact reason for the explosion is still not clear. Emergency services have been rushed to the spot. The explosion occurred at around 4:20 pm local time.
