as posted by the channelChennai City Police searched homes belonging to individuals who were purportedly suspected of being supporters of the Islamic State (IS). The searches are being conducted throughout Chennai and its surrounding areas. On the outskirts of the city, among other places, homes in Kodungaiyur, Muthuyalpet, and Mannadi are being searched by police officers. During the searches, police found cash worth Rs. 15 lakh. Additionally, 150 cellphones and other electronic devices were seized. Earlierm the National Investigation Agency conducted 40 raids in Tamil Nadu on November 10 in an effort to apprehend individuals who were thought to be accused IS sympathisers earlier last week.
