as posted by the channelAfter a short respite for Delhi residents, Air quality has slipped again in the national capital again to the 'very poor' category today. Now, highest AQI recorded in Nehru Nagar at 381. Meanwhile, the GRAP-3 is still on in the city. The construction, demolition work is still banned in the national capital. Now Air Quality level in Noida is in the 'very poor' category as well. While Gurugram, the AQI is in 'moderate' category. The average Air Quality Index in Delhi is around 301. Delhi Air Quality slips back to 'very poor' category this morning. 26 monitoring stations out of 37 have recorded an Air Quality Index of over 300. Nehru Nagar and Anand Vihar have in fact crossed the 370 mark. In Lodhi Road, the AQI was at 'moderate' level but it came back to 'poor' category. Now the government has been saying that it has been taking steps to curb the air pollution in Delhi-NCR. To reduce dust and improve the air quality in Delhi NCR, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) ordered all building sites to use anti-smog guns. Under the third stage of GRAP, all construction and demolition activities in Delhi-NCR was prohibited, with the exception of necessary projects. Stone crushers, hot mix machines, and brick kilns were also prohibited from operating.
