The cops were reportedly clearing out spaces illegally occupied by street vendors near Kanpur's railway station. According to eyewitnesses, Irfan, a roadside vendor in Kanpur, was selling vegetables on GT road when two police officers approached him and scolded him. The cops threw his scale, weights, and vegetables at the railway tracks. Meanwhile, a senior police officer has been suspended for irresponsible behavior.
