Basavaraj Bommai, the chief minister of Karnataka, and Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, have both indicated that they will attend the conference. Shah would probably request that the two leaders maintain calm in the border regions and refrain from making any provocative statements during the meeting. Shah is unlikely to make a significant ruling about the case given that it is currently before the Supreme Court.
