In yet another incident of threat to women in the country, a woman jumped off an Auto Rickshaw in Mohali to escape a molestation attempt. As per reports, the woman had boarded an auto to return home at around 10 PM on Tuesday when the auto driver and a co-passenger tried to rape the woman and beat her up. The woman, however, managed to save herself after jumping off from the auto. Speaking on the same, Supreme Court Advocate Karuna Nundy said, “Kudos to Mohali police for arresting the accused in 12 hours. Govt needs to look at the provision to punish & arrest the culprits or accused in a fast way.” Watch to know more!
